はねのける【撥ね除ける】

1 〔押しのける〕 push [thrust, brush] aside; throw off.

●布団をはねのける throw off a futon

・重圧をはねのける shrug off pressure

・誘惑をはねのける throw off temptation

・人をはねのけて進む push one's way through a crowd.

2 〔除去する〕 eliminate; strike out; reject.

●不良品をはねのける reject inferior [damaged] goods.
